Isle of Wight Extravaganza 2016

Cycling in the Isle of Wight

We've been taking a yearly trip to the IoW for four years now and it never fails to deliver. Somehow there is always sunshine at the end of September to greet us.

This year was the biggest group yet, and a fantastic bunch to ride with.

We drive to the Lymington Ferry for 9am, so on the bikes for 10, anticlockwise round the island. First stop is at Ventnor for ice-cream (it's always sunny there). Then the Zig Zag Road all the way up, and for the truly foolhardy, Down Lane to the top of the moor. Thence around the coast to Ryde for fish'n'chips. Final north section, more beautiful coast and countryside and a fast blast along the road into Yarmouth for the 5pm ferry.
